Capullo had this to say about the design: Scott’s direction was she was an African-American female. I freely admit that the design of the breastplate was inspired by the fact that she had breasts. Yesterday was the design for 1660, and today it is 1770. The Source showed off another concept piece for the Night of Owls crossover. This one will appear in Batman and Robin. Greg Capullo shared this about the image: Same approach as the 1660s owl, basically. I looked at that period’s military. I was happy to find less frilly stuff.
