Let me ask you all a question; Is it your dream to drive around in a bat-mobile, going from high school proms and wedding parties, dressed as the Batman? While I await all the comments that exclaim, "Yes!" I can tell you that isn't my dream, but it is for a fellow over at The Clearly Dope blog. Now, I think the bat-mobile that he's created is pretty impressive. And while I find his dream to be a bit odd, I'm not one to judge so I bid him my blessing. What do you think?
Last caption competition for me for a little while. Joe will be back next week to pick the winner for this next entry. Remember that not just the funniest caption wins, but also the one that is the most unique. That being said, let's also be sure to keep it PG-13 as much as we can. Posted by Dustin…

So unfortunately there wasn't enough entries for the contest to be won for last week, but there is still a winner. Nikki posted up something I though looked at the panel very different from the rest of the entries. Most of the entries were about Batman either singing or announcing. Nikki on the other hand made a point to use the mic as a butler bell per say. I thought it was interesting. The contest could have gone a very different way if…

Batman fan films tend to be a mix bag. Sometimes we get some really impressive ones, and other times…. well, I just leave it at that. Recently, ENSO Productions teamed up with Gotham City FX to co-produce a new Batman fan film, "Batman: The Last Laugh". Essentially, the film runs about twelve minutes in length and captures a high-action showdown between Batman and the Joker. Now, I think visually the film is pretty damn impressive with some strong stunt-work. It's wonderfully choreographed and you can tell that a group of professionals put this together. However, I don't…

So the Italian culture has always been known for their exquisite artwork and sculpting over the years. However, I can assure you that the sculpture below was not conceived by Michelangelo. Thanks to Reddit, who is always a reliable source for "interesting" images, we now get to ponder the question publicly that we have all been thinking privately over the years; What if Batman and Superman fell in love? Yes, well this Italian sculpture now shows us where things would "begin". After all, you know what they say, "When in Rome…"
Need something to hold you over while production continues on The Dark Knight Rises? Well, I've got just the solution, unfortunately my verbiage cannot prepare you die hard bat-fans for what you are about to witness in the video below. Now, if you've been reading the blog for quite some time, You might recall that I did a couple of pieces about Batman films that have come out of other countries over the years. While I was never able to write about the film below, "Alyas Batman en Robin", I can tell you its one of the most bizarre…

For this week's entry, I have decided to up the ante with a new twist. While we have had some great captions come out of the competition, I want to see real gold when looking at these comments next week. So here is the deal. If there are twenty different responses from at least ten different people I will personally send one of the exclusive Warner Bros. Comic Con Bags featuring the new Justice League to you. Like I said,…
This week's winner seems to be channeling the sixties Batman film with their caption, which works given they are on a boat. Congratulations to Michael DeLozier. Tune in tomorrow morning for the next installment of TBU Caption Competition. Posted by Dustin Fritschel

Easily one of Vincent Van Gogh's most memorable and famous paintings is "Starry Night". So naturally do to its dark, warped style, a talented artist like James Hance would re-create the painting but add some "bat-tastic" style to it. Here, the newly titled "The Dark Starry Knight" blends one night with another and it's pretty rad. Check it out for yourself. Thoughts? Posted by Zach Betonte

A new series that I will be heading up on the site is a showcase for fan films. Fan films that include Batman have been being made for years. Some of them you have heard about and some you haven't. Being a Batman fan who peruses the internet all of time looking for Batman goodness, I often come across fan films that are really good. So I want to share these finds with you, because like I said, some these you may have never even seen. The first one I want to show is relatively new to the fan film…
