Batman related Elseworlds tales are spotlighted throughout this 2011 special.

Raven starts college and Starfire starts a romance with a member of H.I.V.E..

 

Nightwing (2011-) #12 ($2.99)

Nightwing has his final confrontation with Paragon, and learns the truth about how and why he was being framed.

 

Red Hood and the Outlaws (2011-) #12 ($2.99)

Starfire’s story on Tamaran continues as she finds herself caught in the middle of a struggle between the Blight and Blackfire. Also Red Hood and Isabel have an intergalactic date.

 

Robin (1993-2009) #161 ($1.99)

The Lords of the Avenues continue their murderous spree, and Tim tries to both cut the pipeline of the drugs and protect the reporter who wants to break the story.

 

8/16:

Legends of the Dark Knight (2012-) #11 ($0.99)

Part one of a three part story that sees Private Eye, Slam Bradley get involved in a war involving Black Mask, the Gotham PD and Batman.

 

8/17:

Smallville Season 11 #13 ($0.99)

Listed due to this being the issue featuring the debut of Batman in the Smallville Universe.

 

As part of a weekend long Nightwing 101 $0.99 sale, the following Dick Grayson heavy comics were legally digitized for the first time:

 

Action Comics (1938-2011) #771

Intergang starts to spread its empire to Bludhaven, and Nightwing joins Superman in the fight to cut the flow from its source in Metropolis.

 

Batman (1940-2011) #416, #436-439

Issue #416 fleshes out the Post Crisis reasoning behind Dick going from Robin to Nightwing, as has the first Post Crisis meeting of Nightwing and the Jason Todd Robin. Issues #436-439 comprise the 1989 Marv Wolfman penned Batman: Year 3 story that tells the Post Crisis Robin origin.

 

Detective Comics (1937-2011) #38

Where it all began, the debut of “The Sensational Character Find of 1940” Robin: The Boy Wonder.

 

Flash (1987-2009) #81-83, #210-211

Dick pops in on Wally West’s solo series. Issues #81-83 are parts of the 1993 Back On Track story, and #210-211 are issues from 2004 featuring Wally reevaluating his place in the hero community.

 

Flash Plus #1 Nightwing

An oversized 1996 special featuring Dick & Wally trying to enjoy a vacation in New Orleans, of course an invasion threatens the city!

 

Nightwing (1996-2009) #1/2

A Wizard Magazine special from 1996 spotlighting Nightwing’s first days in Bludhaven.

 

Nightwing (1996-2009) Annuals #1, #2

Nightwing’s first annual, from May of 1997, was part of a Pulp stories event featuring Dick trying to solve a case of “black widow” murders. And the second, and last, annual for the solo series from April of 2007 deals with Nightwing’s return to being a hero following the events of Infinite Crisis, and his romance with Barbara Gordon.

 

Nightwing 80 Page Giant

A 2000 special featuring a new villain named Hella.

 

Nightwing: Alfred’s Return #1

A 1995 KnightsQuest postscript one-shot with Alfred calling on Dick to help him out on a case in London.

 

Nightwing: Our World’s At War #1

A one shot that tied in with the 2001 Our World’s At War event that sees Dick and Barbara Gordon thrust through time.


Nightwing: Secret Files and Origins #1

A 1999 issue of the Secret Files and Origins series.

 

Nightwing: The Target #1

A 2001 one-shot story where Dick has to go under a new hero identity to clear his name of a murder charge.

 

Nightwing/Huntress #1-4

4 issue mini from 1998 with the two going about an investigation into the murder of an undercover cop, and their rocky relationship throughout the case.

 

Secret Origins (1986-1990) #13

Part of a series that tried to update various characters in the Post Crisis era, Nightwing gets his turn in this issue.

 

Teen Titans Spotlight (1986-1988) #14

Nightwing is tasked with trying to find, and save, a missing Batman.
