Paul Dini is a name synonymous with The Batman Universe. Not only was he involved in the creation of Batman: The Animated Series and wrote the stories for the Arkham video games, but he also has written countless Batman comics.

SFX is reporting that Dini is in the final stages of sealing a deal to write a graphic novel set in The Batman Universe. While details are few and far between, Dini did state that it is going to be some time before we actually see the story release.

This is not uncommon as it took nearly two years for both Batman: Earth One and Batman: Death by Design to release after they were first announced or hinted at.

What is to be this new story from Dini? "It’s going to be a change of pace for Batman and it’ll take some of the fans by surprise when they ultimately see what the story’s about." Dini says as he keeps everything under warps for now.
