DCU Spotlight: Review: Earth 2 #21

I spent most of this issue with either my mouth gapping open, or a lump in my throat. That's how crazy Earth 2 is. And this just continues to get more and more insane. It is truely scary.

The world army that was once made up of ten million people, are now less than hundred thousand. We also get to see other civilians trying to just escape Earth in a spaceship. There is only so much room, though. So most of the people either get crushed by the closing doors, fall from tall heights, or get incinerated by the jet engines of the ship. Superman shows how much far gone he really is by the following; once the ship is in space, he sets an example by ripping the ship apart, and watch people rain back down to Earth's surface. At another point, he lasers a dude's arm off, and beats him with it.

The crazy part is, with all that going on, this comic still has some moments that lighten the mood enough to not scar you for life. Plus we get a little more Atlantis in this issue, and that's always a good thing.

This comic is crazy good. If you've been thinking about reading this comic, just jump in. Fill in the blanks later, if you feel like you need them. Just get it now. You can't not like this comic. I think it's impossible.
