Diamond Announces Top Selling Comics For 2012

Preliminary numbers have been released by Diamond Distributors showing the best selling comics, graphic novels, trade paperbacks, and companies from 2012. Sadly, DC Comics is almost absent from those lists. According to the preliminary numbers "The Walking Dead" was the top selling comic overall while Scott Snyder's "Court of the Owls" trade paperback is 8th on the list for top selling trade paperbacks. In the retail market share and the unit market share categories Marvel beat DC by a slim margin, but still, DC doesn't have one single issue comic that made it into Diamond Distributors top 10 comics for the year.

i'd be interested to see which series were the most consistent in terms of decent sales over the whole year.  obviously The Walking Dead(which i personally enjoy a lot), but putting aside crossover events like Avengers vs. X-Men it would be cool for them to also release info on that.  i think we'd see at least a couple of DC titles pop up then as Batman and Superman have had solid years in terms of consistent sales.
