Here is our final episode for the reboot of BBFB, The Ring, The Arrow and the Bat. This introduces Bruce to other DCU heroes in an adventure that overlaps two stories involving Oliver Queen. It's fairly entertaining and a good introduction to the Green Arrow and Hal Jordan as well as giving us an idea of Batman's attitude to teaming up. If you would like to see more BBFB episodes on this blog please comment below and we can arrange it otherwise thanks for keeping up and please keep listening to the comic podcast for future BBFB episodes. I still have plenty more to review as I read through the dark knights career. Keep reading!

Here is Robin Year One. It's a good story that gave Dick Grayson the attention he deserved and was lacking in Dark Victory. The focus is devoted to Robin obviously and feels like a classic story. Good stuff, click below to listen. Next week is the final edition of this re-do of BBFB episodes with The Ring, The Arrow and the Bat. If you want to hear more please let us know.

Here is Catwoman: When In Rome. An interesting companion piece for Dark Victory, filling in the details of Catwoman's story during these events. Not a bad book but not outstanding for Loeb and Sale. However if you want to fill in all the gaps from Long Halloween and Dark Victory this does that competently. Click below to listen. Next week is Robin: Year One.

Dark Victory is a muted introduction for Dick Grayson with the focus seemingly on several other plot threads. For me I felt Dick deserved more attention but the book succeeds in other areas however it was always going to have to contend with the masterful Long Halloween. Next week is the companion piece Catwoman: When In Rome.

Here is Year Two, a criminally underrated story with a menacing and ruthless villain. However the story betrays Bruce Wayne's morals swiftly and is fundamentally flawed as a result. Give it a listen and see what you think. Nest week is Dark Victory, the introduction of Dick Grayson.

Here is Batman: Faces which I felt was a dreadful portrayal of Two-Face and just a horrible piece of work. Probably the worst reviewed on BBFB so far. Enjoy my absolute trashing of it. Upon hearing this again I think this deserves 0/5 batarangs, but I can't change scores now unfortunately. Next week is Year Two.

Here is an extra long BBFB on The Long Halloween, one of the best-loved bat-books out there. See if I think it's as good as everyone says it is. If you love your gangster movies, you'll love the Godfather references and style adopted for this book. Next week is Faces. Enjoy

Here is Venom! An interesting take on Batman's mortality with undertones that comment on drug addiction. Plus it has a bat-beard! Check it out below. Next week we've got an extra long BBFB on The Long Halloween.

Today we have Going Sane, an underrated Joker story which may not have been noticed by all Joker fans. If you haven't read it, give it a go, you might be surprised. Next week is Venom.

And now we have Spook, a generally weak addition to Batman lore. Hear my review of it below and listen to me discuss why this book failed to capture my imagination. Next week is Going Sane. Enjoy.

Hugo Strange is back and this time he wants to break the Dark Knight once and for all. This is a great book that really delves into the Scarecrow's potential and really investigates terror within Batman's world. A fairly good book, hear my thoughts by clicking below. Next week is Spook.

Have you ever wanted to know more about some of Batman's villains? Well here is your chance. This book has four short stories involving Man-Bat, Riddler, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow. This book is wildly inconsistent but has some excellent moments. What did you think?

This is the Jokers first encounter with Batman and the beginning of a never ending confrontation. See what you reckon to the Jokers introduction. I felt for such a massive task, it was pulled off fairly well. Next week is Four of a Kind, a look at four of Batmans villains.

Now I enjoyed this one. Matt Wagner does get some criticism for his writing but I think he did pretty well with this one. Next week is the introduction of the Joker in The Man Who Laughs.

As we approach Halloween, here is a Batman story with an element of horror and the supernatural to it. Written by the quirky Grant Morrison, see what you think. Next we have Batman and the Mad Monk.
