So you may have noticed that we were a wee bit late with news from Friday and from over the weekend from Baltimore Comic Con. Well, there is a very good reason for that. As some of you may have known from listening to the podcasts, my wife and I were expecting our first child. Well, on Thursday at 10:13PM CST, our first child was born. And not to forget about The Batman Universe, his name is Damian Alexander Fritschel. We should be caught up very shortly. In the meantime, check out my new sidekick.

So maybe you were not paying attention, but this past weekend was Comic Con International in San Diego. Apple, Josh, and myself were all present to get all of the Batman news. We have tons of news, interviews, and other interesting things. We had an issue with the internet while we were there, so there are still tons of things that we will be posting up. We will get back into the groove of things this week and catch up on some things that we did not get to before San Diego. First up is Nick's review of Inception. We have some things for Batman: Under the Red Hood, which comes out tomorrow as well as a bunch of comics reviews. So keep your browser locked to The Batman Universe for all kinds of good things.

The title of this article is probably a question that a lot of you have been asking yourself. I am going to be very brief in the explanation of the lack of activity on the site by myself.
If you keep up on the forums, you may have seen me post up last week that I was extremely busy. As some of you may know, I used to love in Kansas and recently moved back to the area I grew up in, the suburbs of Chicago. Since the beginning of March I was staying with a friend until I closed on a house. Well, that time came last Thursday. I now have a house in Illinois to live in. Between the closing taking a lot longer than initially planned, and getting a bunch of contractors in line, I have had very little time over the past week to work on the site. And it didn't help that I just got the internet working last night, even though it was supposed to be p the day after I got the house.
So, I apologize to those who were not able to get there bat-fix for the past week. I am going to try and get everything caught up by tomorrow. What does this mean for you? Well, we have two podcasts that should go up over the weekend. The first being a week-late normal podcast, and the other a special that many of you have been asking for for quite some time. So look for those by Monday. The comic cast will now shift to one week later and then follow that schedule. Also I will sift through the 558 emails and make sure I get all the news that has happened up on the site.
Again I apologize for this unfortunate occurrence. Hopefully, everything is back to normal in the coming week.

Just wanted to let everyone know that TheBatmanUniverse.net has a chance to be considered for Best Fansite of the year. Project Fanboy awards various awards every year for different categories. They range from anywhere from Best Comic Artist to Best Storyline. Well, I have been informed that TheBatmanUniverse.net is on their ballot for voting for nominations. Now what does this mean? Our site is being considered among some sites that have been on the web for years. This is a great honor, but even more, it is a huge way to grow the community for fans. Nominations are being accepted now until the end of October. All you have to do is head over to Project Fanboy here, and vote for who you believe should be nominated in the different categories. At the very bottom is the category for Best Fansite. The Batman Universe is on the list for your choice. So head over and vote now. Just another way to get more fans over to the site that you all love.

Alright, so a lot of people had problems with our blog on BlogSpot, mostly because it was hard to interact with the posts since you had to go to BlogSpot and leave comments and they did not appear on the site.
Well, this is our answer to that. This is new and improved and you can leave comments right here for every entry we post. There won’t be problems with videos or punctuation errors.
We are going to strive to post up things daily and stay on top of it. This can only be as successful as you guys make it. If you have an idea for a post let me know and we will get you set up. Comic reviews will be posted here as well as our opinion pieces. So look forward to a lot of really cool things coming to this section very soon.
