Thank you again for another great episode of my favorite podcast! I have a few comments.

Best line of the podcast, and possible quote of the year, came from Dustin: “They haven’t met my Wall of Continuity.” Some might see my capitalization of “Wall of Continuity” as grammatically incorrect; but I think the capitalization is implied, and have a feeling that it’s posted that way on the engraved placard above the actual Wall of Continuity in Dustin’s secret Base of Operations.

I do not, do not, DO NOT want the Joker to be immortal. We already have Vandal Savage and Ra’s Al Ghul; we don’t need another. I’m hoping it’s all misdirection, but dreading that it’s not.

In Batman #38, Dr. Dekker says “Doesn’t sound like a Batman story, now does it?” Is this just Snyder winking at the reader, and breaking the fourth wall? it kind of took me out of the story; maybe that’s just me. But it also lends further credence to the idea that we’re dealing with a very different Joker than anything we’ve seen before.

Finally, what the bleep bleep blankity bleeping bleep is up with the artwork for the backup in Batman #38? The story that they’re continuing is not my favorite, but okay. But the artwork is atrocious. There’s good deviation from the DC “house style,” like the current run on Batgirl; then there’s… whatever that was in the backup. I don’t know what they were going for with that artwork; but I think they failed. I hope we get back to something at least passable with the next issue.

Anyway, thank you again for a great podcast. I’ll be back in two weeks.

Another great episode guys. I just wanted to quickly ask what you think about the irony of Joker potentially being immortal in the current DCU but being dead in the Arkham-universe from the video games. I know both universes are separate and don’t relate to one another directly, I just thought it was interesting to contrast the two. Thanks so much!
