Scott’s direction was she was an African-American female. I freely admit that the design of the breastplate was inspired by the fact that she had breasts.

Although the solicitations for May were released last week and we have heard numerous times from Scott Snyder and Tony Daniel that the Night of Owls crossover would only be taking place in some of the Bat-books and not all of them, it seems that one more title has been added to the crossover.

Tony Daniel's Detective Comics will now be a part of the crossover according to The Source. The solicitation for May's Detective Comics #9 stated that Batman would be facing Mr. Toxic. That has seemed to change rather suddenly. While is is unknown as to why the series will be joining all but Batwoman in the Night of the Owls crossover, Batman group editor Mike Marts shared who Batman will be protecting. It seems that Jeremiah Arkham will be in the crosshairs of the Court of Owls and Batman will be protecting him.

A new cover is also sure to be released with the issue, although nothing has made its way online yet. It seems that Tony Daniel's comment about Batman not being able to be in more than one place at once is no longer true.

February 21, 2012 – Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - Little Orbit, a worldwide game publisher, announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Young Justice: Legacy video game set to ship in early 2013 for PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Nintendo's Wii system, and the Nintendo DS hand held system.

New episodes of the Warner Bros. Animation series Young Justice will air beginning Saturday, March 3, at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network as part of DC Nation, the network's brand-new one-hour block of exclusive kids' television programming and shorts based on DC Comics characters. In Young Justice, teenage heroes Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis are tasked by the Justice League to act as their covert operations team. Armed with superior skills, weaponry and powers, the team must do battle against a wide array of villains from the DC Universe while trying to prove to themselves, and to their superhero mentors, that they too have what it takes to be a hero. Their journey is further complicated when they face the many unpredictable obstacles that arise in their path from inexperience and youth.

In Young Justice: Legacy fans can look forward to an original storyline set in between Seasons 1 and 2 of the television series, written in collaboration with show writers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti. The game is packed with fan favorite playable characters, cameo appearances by popular Justice League heroes and villains, and includes online multiplayer as well as local multiplayer modes.

"The TV series is a fantastic combination of compelling writing, witty humor, iconic art, and exciting action sequences. The creators have done an amazing job blending over 180 DC Comics characters into their show filtered through a new, youthful perspective," said Matt Scott, CEO of Little Orbit. "The new video game contains a slew of cool features and a large playable cast of familiar heroes, but our core mission is to create a unique experience that fits seamlessly into the world of the show and offers a new way to interact with these popular DC Comics characters."

Now I’m thinking Jack the Ripper. Cloaks and lots of layers. A bird’s feathers are all layered. Perfect.

Comic Book Resources wraps up their coverage of the upcoming Batman Universe crossover event by interviewing Scott Lobdell. Although Red Hood and the Outlaws could be argued as anything but a Bat-book, it still is considered one by the folks at DC and in turn will be part of the crossover event. So how does a group of characters not afraid to kill people fit into all of this?

CBR: Scott, Jason Todd gets drawn back to Gotham City in May for the epic Batman crossover "Night of the Owls." How will Jason react to being back in Gotham at the request of Tim Drake?

Scott Lobdell: Actually, it turns out Jason is already in town on some other business when he answers an all-points call for help from Alfred. See, Suzie Shu — that crime lordess from "Red Hood and the Outlaws" #2 — was sent to specialists in Gotham City for her injuries. (And, let's be serious, if Gotham City hospitals specialized in anything, it would be gunshot wounds!) When Jason and the Outlaws, who are just this moment leaving when the call goes out, learn that Red Robin is unable to deal with his particular Talon, Red Hood steps in to help. That said, there is an awesome scene between Jason and Tim that is going to have people spitting out their Cheerios and standing on their breakfast table shouting with glee! It is one of my favorites glimpses into both Jason and Tim's life that I've gotten to write since the New 52 started.

CBR: How were you able to introduce Jason's return to Gotham in a way that felt organic to "Red Hood and the Outlaws?"

Scott Lobdell: Well, you've probably noticed, Red Hood And The Outlaws "isn't like the other kids" — they're not really asked to play in the reindeer games. When you see how they wind up caught between a Talon rock and a Mr. Freeze hard place, it will feel like exactly what it is: A "Night Of The Owls" story through that Outlaw prism.

CBR: Earlier this week, Scott Snyder and Mike Marts commented on how closely the Bat-books have been working together on "Night of the Owls." How will events in some of the other Bat-books during the event impact what you'll be doing in the future of Red Hood?

Scott Lobdell: First let me say how excited I am to be working with Scott — the kid is just killing it every issue! Yeah, the Joker and Penguin and Mr. Freeze are all amazing characters and it is clear why they've lasted so long, but Scott and Greg have gone in a bold new direction creating a new mythology out of whole cloth. It is an exciting time to be a Bat-fan! But how this event impacts on the future or Red Hood — I don't see it having any long-term effects, but let's see what happens in the future.

For the entire interview, including talk about what is coming up in the series, head over to Comic Book Resources. Also be sure to check out the concept art for Mr. Freeze by Kenneth Rocafort above. Red Hood and the Outlaws #6 is in stores now.
