Batman and Robin #26 marks the end of a very short era, an era marked by a different Caped Crusader and Boy Wonder. Issue #26, written by David Hine and illustrated by Greg Tocchini and Andre Bressan, ends the light-hearted Batman and brooding Robin. Because this is a one-and-done, the issue moves quickly. We open with an unnamed narrator describing his father's home movies of him as a baby. His father informs him he's destined…

The final issue of the Judd Winnick penned Batman and Robin arc is upon us. We open with the unnamed villain from issue 24 listening to poor Scarlet talk about how Jason Todd is coming for her. Meanwhile, Jason, dressed as Red Hood, is making idle chit-chat at Batman and Robin, complaining about how the Batmobile smells of pine now. When Robin dismisses him, saying the inane jabbering won't disarm or unbalance them, Red Hood says puberty will loosen Damian up, if he lives that long. Batman,…

Batman and Robin #24 is the second issue in the latest three-issue arc. Written by Judd Winick, with art by Greg Tocchini, the issue lacks some of the finesse of the last issue. We open with another flashback to Jason Todd as Robin, learning from Batman the most important skill they have: adaptability. When faced with a situation of the unknown, step up and take control. It leads right into the extraction team, known as the Menagerie, freeing Jason Todd. He's upset. For…

Well it seems Paul Dini is back to his usual self this week as 'Batman: Arkham City' #2 is delayed from the 25th of May to the 8th of June, but still, at least it's still going to be written by him! In other news, we do see the return of David Finch's 'Batman: The Dark Knight'! Following yet another week-long delay to issue 3 from the 15th of June to the 22nd, issue 5 will be hitting the stores for the 24th of August. Now there are two…

DC Comics have released the solicitations for August 2011 and there are a number of interesting things occurring in The Batman Universe. The first thing we see is that there will be another eighty-page giant this year with a cover by Dustin Nguyen. The creators writing and drawing in the issue were not named specifically, but there is plenty of time between now and August for them to name some off. The remaining Retroactive one-shots are both released in August. As far as creator changes, Chris Burnham will be back on Batman Incorporated for issue #10. Batman and Robin gets yet…

Not really that much in terms of delays this week, possibly because we don't have to worry about 'Batman: The Dark Knight' for a while and 'Batman Incorporated' was only delayed last week so it's probably only due for another delay next week. There is, however, a delay to 'Batman and Robin' #23 which has been pushed back a week from the 11th May to the 18th, at first I was surprised considering the amount of hype Judd Winick is spewing out over his arc and his feverish updates…
