Sent to me by a good friend who understands my obsession with all things Dark Knight related, this is a moving image as you can clearly see. This is one of the most chilling images I've seen to date. Notice the wide-brimmed hat shadow at the top. This has become an iconic addition to the Joker's character over the years. Portrayed with Nicholson's Joker, Hamill's Animated Series Joker, and within the comics' continuity, as well. This is a truly striking image. Posted by Chris Gering

To start off the best of the Joker images, I chose Jack Nicholson's Joker to get the ball rolling. Jack's performance of the Clown Prince of Crime is still one of the best of all time, and many consider it to be better than Heath Ledger's performance. However, given they are both different interpretations of the character, it's truly hard to say. Refer to the article, "Who's the Best Joker?" to see how it weighed out here at TBU. Many fans often wonder; What if Joel Schumacher had directed a third Batman film? Well, it almost did happen with Batman Triumphant, but due to the colossal failure that was Batman and Robin, Warner Bros. decided to take a step back and let the fans cool down. That turned out to be a rather wise decision, with two excellent Christopher Nolan films to follow in the years to come. However, Batman Triumphant was a project that always intrigued me, especially in the casting department. While talking…

We have posted a number of images in the past from Sean Hartter. Sean threw this together as something special for TBU. It features the Hot Toys 1989 Batman 1989 figures as an Asian movie poster. What do you think? Posted by Dustin Fritschel

Over at Qwertee, you can vote to have the design below made into a t-shirt and sold, and why wouldn't you vote? The design is titled, "The Smiling" and is a mash-up of the two classic films, "Batman" from 1989 and "The Shining" which both starred Jack Nicholson, who gave incredible performances in both. You'd be foolish not to vote for this design, I think it's incredibly clever and one that I'm amazed no one has thought of before. So please head over to Qwertee now! Thanks SlashFilm for the heads up.

With Green Lantern hitting UK cinemas and anticipation from fans has reached an absolute boiling point, clamor for reviews as well as today, June 17th, I thought it would be a good chance to sit and reflect on an issue. The question is can Green Lantern be the next Harry Potter? By this I mean can…

Among our growing throng of Bat-fans, there is a question we all have posed each other at one point or another. Who’s the better Joker? I mean, really?! Can you truly compare these performances? I set out to do just that, kids. I watched both films, having seen them numerous times, and paid attention to only Jack and Heath. Though, I should point out that in order to appreciate either of their performances you must also be looking at the performance of their respective Batman. Obviously, I started with Tim Burton’s Batman. Heath was sure to have at least…

What is it about Tim Burton’s “Batman” that we love so much as Bat-fans? So many things. The cast is a good place to start. Michael Keaton in the title role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. His take on the Dark Knight is subtle, and for anyone who’s viewed the special features on the 2009 two-disc special edition will also tell you, Keaton cut many of the lines from the original script. He believed Batman’s presence as a creature in the shadows would be better represented…
