Grant Morrison has been making the rounds recently, talking to IGN, Newsarama, and Comic Book Resources about the events of Batman Incorporated #8, why he decided to kill Damian Wayne and what's next for him after he wraps up his Batman story. IGN Comics: Was it always part of your larger plan on Batman to wind down your run with the death of Damian? Grant Morrison: Yeah, always. I actually have my series pitch from April 13, 2011 and the death of Damian is right there. So even two years…

After a night of venting his frustration on the criminals in Gotham City, Bruce returns to the cave to find a letter that Damian wrote, declaring his intention to help Batman fight against Leviathan and stating his love and pride for being Bruce’s son. The best issues say the most with the least amount of dialogue. So it’s with Batman and Robin #18 that the entire story has nary a word or sound effect lettered into the page, leaving with the reader the sense of grief and loss that…

Editor's Note: The following article is meant to be a take on how the Joker would react to the real world outside of the DC Universe and to current events. The article is also darker because it is in fact coming from the perspective of one of the darkest characters in The Batman Universe. Viewer discretion is advised. Greeting Bat-babies it is your dear old uncle J here. I think Queen said it best when they sang “another one bites the dust. And another…

One of the things I liked best about Knightfall was Bane's plan to drain Batman both mentally and physically by breaking out all of Arkham's inmates, and having them wreak havoc on Gotham. In probably the most memorable encounter Batman had before his fight with Bane, Batman goes up against the Joker and Scarecrow, where he is sprayed with Scarecrow's fear toxin, and sees images of Joker killing Jason Todd. This all leads to Joker receiving a massive beat down from Batman, as he is screaming Jason's name…

Comic Vine recently had a chance to talk to James Tynion IV about taking over Red Hood and the Outlaws, where he talks about where he want to take the title and it's characters. Comic Vine: Congrats on RED HOOD. I know some things can't be revealed until Death of the Family ends but what can you tell us about where you're taking the series? James Tynion IV: I want to really explore the bonds that tie the Outlaws together. They’ve each gone through really horrible things in…
