It was only about two months ago that DC revealed that there was a new digital series in the works featuring out of continuity stories featuring Batman. USA Today has posted news about two new digital comic series coming out in May and June. Both series will release in digital form first in the same vein as Batman: Arkham Unhinged has for past six months. Each series will release on a specific day of the week and with the releases, DC will offer a new digital issue every day of the week starting in June. This is the penultimate issue of Brian Azzarello’s First Wave series featuring Batman, The Spirit and Doc Savage. I suppose if this was a TV episode we could expect this to be the strongest of the series with a letdown for the final chapter. But since we haven’t seen the finale yet we’ll have to reserve comment.
