Sent to me by a good friend who understands my obsession with all things Dark Knight related, this is a moving image as you can clearly see. This is one of the most chilling images I've seen to date. Notice the wide-brimmed hat shadow at the top. This has become an iconic addition to the Joker's character over the years. Portrayed with Nicholson's Joker, Hamill's Animated Series Joker, and within the comics' continuity, as well. This is a truly striking image. Posted by Chris Gering

If you remember all the way back to September of last year you will probably recall I was not at all positive about The Dark Knight Returns Part One. In my opinion it suffered all the myriads that can make an animated film terrible: bad acting, terrible animation, clunky dialogue and awful music. And I did not have high hopes for part two. The clips I had seen of part 2 had not impressed me at all and…

Episode 04: The Last Laugh
Written by: Carl Swenson
Directed by: Kevin Altieri
Original Air Date: 09/22/92
After what was in my opinion a lackluster way to introduce an iconic character like the Joker in the episode “Christmas With The Joker", he actually makes his second appearance in "Batman: The Animated Series" rather quickly, in the fourth episode titled “The Last Laugh.” To me, this is a much stronger episode than “Christmas With The Joker.” It is an episode that has a lot of action,…

“From here, you can’t see the enemy.” This is what Bruce Wayne thinks to himself as he flies into Gotham City, upon his return after years abroad. And yet, this story is not alone about Bruce Wayne. No. This story is also about the other half of Batman. The law-abiding half. Batman always holds himself to the law and its rules, despite his blatant disregard for vigilantism. Of course, this is in reference to Lieutenant James Gordon. At…

Three years ago when we first heard about the Batman: The Brave and the Bold series, a lot of us were very skeptical. I am not sure if any of us will ever forget the first time we heard Batman speak; "The jig is up, Kiteman!" While those words may never be forgotten, Batman: The Brave and the Bold has…
