Greetings Bat boys and girls. Time for a new match-up. Lex Luthor vs. Batman. Just to reiterate, we’re using the same criteria as Superman vs. Batman. We’ll be looking at Jeph Loeb’s Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. If you’re not familiar with the plot, Lex puts a bounty on Superman’s head and Bats help Big Blue get out of trouble. Especially considering Lex is the President at this point in continuity. Now, to business kids. The…

Justice League: Doom is the long awaited animated feature based on Mark Waid’s legendary Justice League series entitled, Tower of Babel. For those of you not familiar with the plotline, Batman’s contingency plans for eliminating members of the JLA (in the event that any of them turn evil or be under mind-control) fall into the wrong hands and are implemented. In the comic, these plans were in the hands of Ra’s Al Ghul. In the animated movie, it is Vandal Savage who…

As you may or may not know (I'm going to punt for the latter here as the series was publicized to no one), Batman: The Brave and the Bold returned to torment us (unless your my 6 year-old cousin then its the best thing ever) on TV. So here is my brief review of the first four episodes of the new season. I have tried to keep away from spoilers so these do not cover any real plot points, but I have chosen some points that I like or dislike.

Sometimes when I read Red Robin, I always feel the need to ask, where is the fun, where is the charm from Tim Drake that I keep hearing about, and in this issue, I am given my answer. It’s in his supporting cast. This issue opens up, where the last issue ended, sort of. Tim is in the Unternet, which is the villain’s version of the internet, that is the simplest way to describe it, a secret meeting place for baddies, almost like the Yahoo…

Alright, another great set to review. Warner Bros. sent over the DVD version of Smallville season 9. Twenty-one episodes are included on this set. There are some special features featuring some of the behind the scenes details about some of the episodes. So what did I think? Well, let's cover what is in the set. The set includes twenty episodes and one two hour episode. This season of Smallville dives more into the lore of Superman by continuing Clark's job at The Daily Planet and building…

This is another show that you most likely have already seen. You might even already own the individual seasons. For the very first time the series is collected in one form on DVD. The series first aired in the late nineties after the success of Batman: The Animated Series. It featured Big Red saving Metropolis from the perils of many of his own rogues' gallery. It aired over three seasons and ended before the Timmverse continued on with…

A week and a half ago, one of our contacts at Warner Bros. sent over a DVD version of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies for us to review. So what better way to review the film then by posting it the day the film comes out so that you can find out what I think of the film and whether it is worth buying or not. Let's get into it. When I first heard about this film being made, I was kind of…
