The sequel to Batman Begins blew us all away. The first of this new re-invention of the Caped Crusader and his never-ending war on crime was a modest film, but whetted our appetite for more. After months of speculation about Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing various roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. has finally announced that they have been cast. But with the announcement, we are left with a couple of questions regarding their roles. There is already speculation regarding Cotillard's role in the film. Could it be a role that she plays in the beginning of the film and later is revealed to be Talia al Ghul towards the climax of the film? Or is it something completely different as the love interest for Bruce Wayne after Rachel's demise? Also,…

While the Nolan Batman films have done many terrific things with the film franchise, one of the best things about the two films is how well the Nolans and David Goyer have been able to choose the correct supporting characters to inhibit their Batman Universe. Mainly the villains; each villain they have chosen has carried much more dramatic weight and meaning to the films. After Christopher Nolan's announcement that The Riddler will not be in the upcoming film, The Dark Knight Rises, many fans now are scratching their heads wonder who will be villain? Well before I run down the…
