Scott Snyder recently sat down with Comics Alliance to talk about his upcoming Zero Year story, why he's doing it, and his love for Year One. He also talks about how he pitched it to the DC editors, Damian's death and Grant Morrison.
Comics Alliance: When I heard about Zero Year, I was a little apprehensive. It's pretty well-trod ground, but I know you're a guy who really likes Year One. I mean, you're the one who brought James Gordon Jr. back into continuity.
Scott Snyder: Right. Year One is literally one of my…

With the announcement of Zero Year being the next big arc in the pages of Batman, writer Scott Snyder has done a couple of interviews with IGN and Newsarama talking about what we can expect in his upcoming story of Batman's early years.
IGN: My first question has got to be: exactly how far back does Zero Year go?
Scott Snyder: Well, it takes place in the continuity that’s established in our issue #0. So it takes place just over five years ago; almost six years ago.
IGN: So is this Bruce’s…

Scott Snyder recently sat down with MTV Geek to talk about the rumor that Harper Row will be the next Robin following the death of Damian. When asked bluntly by the interviewer if she will be the next Robin, Snyder says that he's not going to give the answer away:
"I'm not going to give away what happens…whether she would BE Robin or not."
Snyder then goes on to say that Harper is a character in her own right and that she was never designed to be a Robin:
"I feel badly that everybody is…

It has been announced that Scott Snyder's next big Batman arc will be about Bruce first becoming Batman in the new 52, in a story that will be called Zero Year. It will be an 11-part story starting in June, and will give us a brand new story on the origin of Bruce becoming Batman. Here's some quotes from Scott Snyder on what we can expect in this new epic story arc:
“It’s not ‘let’s redo the origin. It’s time for a new story showing how Batman became who he is in the…

Editor's Note: The following article is meant to be a take on how the Joker would react to the real world outside of the DC Universe and to current events. The article is also darker because it is in fact coming from the perspective of one of the darkest characters in The Batman Universe. Viewer discretion is advised.
Greetings Bat-babies it is your dear old Uncle J. Back once again and writing to you from my new hidden location.

The release of Batman #17 marked the end of Scott Snyder's Death of the Family story arc, and to give a little more insight as to what he wanted to do in the final chapter of Death of the Family, Snyder talked with IGN about Batman #17 and Death of the Family as a whole, as well as what's next for Batman in his next big arc.
