Rocksteady announced that a brand new set of avatars are now available for Xbox Live through the Xbox Marketplace. All of the new skins are based off of the variant skins available in Batman: Arkham City. Warner Bros. has sent over an announcement of when both the open beta and the release date of the game will happen. Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment announce that Gotham City Impostors will be available beginning January 10, 2012, on Xbox LIVE™ Arcade and PlayStation®Network, as well as for PC. Friendly reminder that the first DLC pack for Batman: Arkham City is available today. The Nightwing DLC pack features Nightwing as a playable character in the challenge maps. The pack also feature two new challenge maps Wayne Manor and Main Hall. The pack also features an Animated Series skin for Nightwing. It is available on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

So today is the day that Batman: Arkham City hits North America, and although fans around the world will also soon have their copies of the game, there may be some people still on the fence about buying the game (but I haven't heard of one, yet). We have known for awhile that Batman: Arkham City will have their very own controllers for both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Well, now there are commercials for both versions. Two more news bits to add to Batman: Arkham City. First up, the site zwame.pt has posted what could be how Nightwing will appear in the game but again, this has yet to be confirmed by Rocksteady. The other bit is that Rocksteady has announced that a number of items are available on the Xbox Marketplace related to Batman: Arkham City. There are actually twenty-five items total.
