Below you will find brief descriptions of this week’s comics along with the ratings. Below the main TBU titles will be the DC Universe specific titles that feature characters from The Batman Universe. Rather than giving in depth reviews for those titles, we will be describing what happens in the book involving TBU characters and how it possibly impacts the story.

Detective Comics #936: Batwoman (Kate Kate) faces hard choices in the aftermath of Batman’s defeat by the Colony. -Ian 4.5/5


Nightwing: Rebirth #1: After showing us some conclusion from past Dick Grayson storylines, Dick hangs out with Damian. After pulling a bomb of of Damian’s nose, Batman gives Dick his next assignment; take down the Parliment of Owls. -David 4/5

Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy #2: The mystery of Greenwood Lodge begins to reveal itself to Olive and Jen as the rest of the Lumberjanes and Gotham Academy gangs plan their rescue. -Gerry 3.5/5

Secondary DC Universe Books (involving TBU cameos)

DC Comics Bombshells #15 (digital chapters #43-45): Atlantis, taken over by the Reich, violently insists Mera leave Arthur and her new home to fight for the freedom of the undersea. As Kate parachutes into Berlin, Harley and Ivy stock their underground base, the Cat’s Cradle, where they rather violently collide with Raven and her party. Selina DeGatti, after drugging rich Nazis for ransom, brings former lovers and Spanish freedom fighters Renee Montoya and Batwoman back together to the Cradle, where they, too, encounter Harley Quinn.


Earth 2: Society #14: Dick Grayson’s Batman intially argues with Wonder Woman, but decides to explain his emotional backstory in order to help Fury understand who he is. Just as the story wraps up, the tower is attacked by the genetically enhanced/aged children. One of which turns out to be Dick Grayson’s son, John.


New Super-Man #1: After introducing the Superman of China, the issue ends with the appearance of both the Wonder Woman and Batman of China.
