Below you will find brief descriptions of this week’s comics along with the ratings. Below the main TBU titles will be the DC Universe specific titles that feature characters from The Batman Universe. Rather than giving in depth reviews for those titles, we will be describing what happens in the book involving TBU characters and how it possibly impacts the story.

Harley Quinn and her Gang of Harleys #5: The Gang of Harleys battle super-dopplegangers and, robo-goats while we learn the backstory of the mysterious Harley Sinn. -Gerry 4/5

 

Gotham Academy Annual #1: The Detective Club is divided over the mystery of Olive’s illness and the ruined chapel. Will Pomeline’s vampire theory win out or is Colton right about Professor Powers. -Gerry 3.5/5

 

Main DC Universe Books (involving TBU characters and elements)

Justice League of America #9: As we get caught up with the different timelines that have lead to the battle with Rao and the Parasite at the power plant, Wonder Woman is able to revive Superman and the Justice League is now faced with an entire planet of super powered Kryptonians under the power of Rao. -Jim 4/5

 

Suicide Squad Special: War Crimes #1: Amanda Waller assigns the team to save a kidnapped government official from the hands of Strikeforce Europa. -Corbin 2/5

 

Secondary DC Universe Books (involving TBU cameos and digital firsts)

DC Comics Bombshells Annual #1: Amanda Waller tasks new agent Frankie to hunt down former operative Barbara Gordon. When Frankie discovers Babs in the swamp, she has become a vampire, and formed a coven with Enchantress and Ravager. Though initially conflicting, Frankie persuades the coven and Killer Croc to form a Suicide Squad for Waller.

 

Earth 2: Society Annual #1: Huntress seeks Dick’s son John out from an encounter with Ultra-Humanite. After returning to his father, John learns what has been motivating Dick in being Batman as it was the loss of his son.
