Review Roundup ver 2


Below you will find brief descriptions of this week’s comics along with the ratings. Below the main TBU titles will be the DC Universe specific titles that feature characters from The Batman Universe. Rather than giving in depth reviews for those titles, we will be describing what happens in the book involving TBU characters and how it possibly impacts the story.


Main TBU Books

Batman #7: After the the death of Tim Drake, Batman has the team on full alert while dealing with a hurricane and new creatures that slowly start revealing themselves throughout the city -Matthew 3.5/5


Nightwing #5: The second part of the Night of Monsters arc, features the team spread thin dealing with both the hurricane and the monsters. -David 2/5


Harley Quinn #4: After meeting comic book writer Frank Tieri, Harley heads off to India to deal with a call center problem. With Bolly Quinn in tow, she succeeds and then heads to Russia to take down the call center owners. -David 4/5

Main DC Universe Books (involving TBU characters and elements)

Justice League #5: The Extinction Machine story line concludes with a final confrontation of the Justice League and the Kindred. Only after working together, the League is able to save the world. -Jim 4.5/5


Trinity #1: With the arrival of a Superman from a different Earth, Batman and Wonder Woman head to Smallville to get to know this man of steel and his family better. -Bill 4/5


Secondary DC Universe Books (involving TBU cameos and digital firsts)

Green Arrow #7: The “new” Clock King that was introduced last issue has been revealed to just be a new version of William Tockman, which is closer to his previous appearances in Green Arrow pre-Flashpoint rather than from The Batman Universe.


Injustice: Gods Among Us-Year Five #18 (digital chapters #35-36): Deathstroke infiltrates the Regime armory to acquire a Mother Box for Batman and Lex to bring alternate versions of the Justice League to come help. Although he gets captured, Deathstroke successfully sends a full 3D map of the Mother Box to Bruce and Lex to construct.


Suicide Squad: Most Wanted: El Diablo and Boomerang #2: On the Boomerang side of the story, current Suicide Squad members, Harley Quinn and Killer Croc make an appearance.


Superman #7: Superman is shown helping fellow Justice League members around the world, which includes Batman taking down Killer Croc.
