Below you will find brief descriptions of this week’s comics along with the ratings. Below the main TBU titles will be the DC Universe specific titles that feature characters from The Batman Universe. Rather than giving in depth reviews for those titles, we will be describing what happens in the book involving TBU characters and how it possibly impacts the story.


Main TBU Books

Detective Comics #941: While Spoiler and Orphan make slight gains against their monstrous foes, Batman, Batwoman, Nightwing, and Gotham Girl’s situations all go from bad to catastrophically worse as the third part of the Night of the Monster Men arc continues. -Ian 3.5/5


Batman Beyond: Rebirth #1: Terry McGinnis is back in the role of Batman Beyond and with Bruce Wayne no longer assisting him, he deals with Dana Tan being abducted by Terminal who reveals that he works for the original Joker. -Matthew 4/5


Batgirl #3: After her defeat in the ring, Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) gets back up and pursues her mysterious foes to South Korea. -Ian 3.5/5


Secondary TBU Books (miniseries/digital firsts)

Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #6: In the final issue of the mini-series, Harley Quinn and her gang battle Harley Sinn. While Quinn triumphs, she plans on getting Sinn some psychiatric help. The plan takes a turn when the Joker abducts Sinn looking to team with her. -Gerry 4/5


Main DC Universe Books (involving TBU characters and elements)

Teen Titans: Rebirth #1: As the heroes Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven and Kid Flash are kidnapped by a mysterious figure, the Teen Titans awaken to discover a new threat has brought them together…the Son of Batman, Damian Wayne. -Ryan 4.5/5


Titans #3: After fighting their doppelgängers, the Titans battle the futuristic wizard Kadabra who admits to taking part in throwing Wally into the speed force and erasing the memory of him. -Bill 3.5/5


Suicide Squad #3: As the team attempts to survive against General Zod, a new group of villains called the Annihilation Brigade appears. In the back-up, the history of how Katana became is explained. -Corbin 3/5


Secondary DC Universe Books (involving TBU cameos and digital firsts)

Scooby-Doo Team-Up #18: This month’s team-up features Ace the Bat-Hound with Krypto helping Scooby and the Mystery Inc gang.


Sixpack and Dogwelder: Hard-Travelin’ Heroz #2: Batman makes a brief cameo in the batmobile.
