TBU Review Roundup 3/15


Below you will find brief descriptions of this week’s comics along with the ratings. Below the main TBU titles will be the DC Universe specific titles that feature characters from The Batman Universe. Rather than giving in depth reviews for those titles, we will be describing what happens in the book involving TBU characters and how it possibly impacts the story.


Main TBU Books

Batman #19: As Bane makes his way towards Batman, he must face a wave of villains inside of Arkham Asylum who have been promised by Batman to receive better treatment if they help take down Bane. -Matthew 4/5


All-Star Batman #8: As Batman tries to stop the bacteria released, he faces off against the Blackhawks organization and Mad Hatter which leads him one step closer to who is behind the attack. -Corbin 4.5/5


Nightwing #17: After putting Damian in his place, Nightwing and Robin travel to France to find Shawn. They face off against Deathwing only to have help from an unlikely source that points to the real kidnapper, Professor Pyg. -David 4.5/5


Batwoman #1: On the trail of the monster venom, Batwoman is aided by Julia Pennyworth as they globe trot and have to deal with a new villain called Knife. -Jessica 4/5


Harley Quinn #16: As Harley, Power Girl and Atlee deal with Zorcrom, in the future, super bat-fan Devani wins a tournament that allows her to travel in time to meet Batman. Though she has another plan; take out Harley Quinn before she murders Batman. -David 4.5/5

Super Sons #2: As Damian and Jon investigate LexCorp to find out who has broken in, they encounter Lex himself before making escape that leads them closer to Kid Amazo. -Jessica 4.5/5


Trinity #7: Ra’ al Ghul and Lex Luthor are summoned what appears to be a Lazarus pit only to have Circe reveal that it is a Pandora pit as it begins to release a beast. -Bill 3/5


Justice League #17: As the League is spread across time, Superman must deal with Tempus to try and stop the attack by the Timeless. -Gerry 3.5/5

Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye #6: In the back-up feature, a number of characters from The Batman Universe appear including Batman, Batgirl, Joker, Penguin and Robin.


DC Comics Bombshells #24 (digital chapters #69-72): The story features appearances from the Bombshell versions of Kate Kane and Selina Kyle.


Green Arrow #19: AS Roy Harper is brought back into the Green Arrow story, Black Canary appears.


Injustice: Ground Zero #8 (digital chapters #15-16): Catwoman, Batman, Harley Quinn and the Joker all appear in this issue, as well as an older Damian Wayne.


Superman #19: Batman makes a brief cameo in a flashback of a fight between Darkseid and the Justice League.
