Ahead of March 27’s release of Batman: The Enemy Within’s final episode, Telltale Games has released a trailer recapping the events of the season thus far. It’s a great way to catch up on a story that began with The Riddler facing off against Batman and has taken us along several twists and turns through Gotham’s underbelly before it seeks to answer the question: Will the Joker be a villain or a vigilante? It’s the choices that players have made up to this point along with the diverging path in the final episode that will determine the Joker that Batman had more than a hand in creating. According to Telltale:
“What would you choose: a friend whose unhinged approach to justice turns your allies against you, or a sworn enemy who will stop at nothing to see you suffer as your city burns? Based on the relationship you’ve built with John Doe, you’ll see one of two very different stories play out. So what’ll it be, Bruce: friend…or foe?”
We can still expect two more trailers to drop for the finale, one focusing on each possible version of the Joker. It will be interesting to see just how differently the story plays out and if each conclusion will satisfy gamers. Expect our full review of the final episode, “Same Stitch,” shortly after the release.
