The biggest news of Comic Con may have been the most unexpected. During the Warner Bros. panel today in Hall H moments ago, Warner Bros. introduced Zack Snyder and he confirmed a sequel to Man of Steel. After some stalling he introduced Henry Lennix who read a quote:
I want you to remember Clark, in all the years to come. In all your private moments. In all the years to come, my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you.
After the quote a Batman/Superman logo appeared on screen revealing that it will feature Batman.
The Los Angeles Times broke the story earlier today citing two sources. Well, their sources end up being true.
Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman and at this point it is unknown who will be cast as the new Batman. Zack Snyder will direct the film.
This film is said to set up the collected DC Universe and will now take the place of the originally planned Justice League film.
