Barris Kustom Industries will be showing off a new customized vehicle inspired by the 1966 Batman Batmobile which recently sold for over $4 million. Here is the information from Barris Kustoms:
A Batmobile-inspired Ford F-150 designed by the grandson of legendary original Batmobile designer George Barris will be cruising San Diego during Comic-Con. Jared Barris, the elder Barris’ grandson, continued the family business and designed and built his own take on the Batmobile. The “Crime Fighter” F-150 takes several cues from the original car to give it a one-of-a-kind look. The truck, whose design was started by George Barris himself and created with Galpin Auto Sports in California, is for sale at a relative bargain price compared to its predecessor, which sold earlier this year for well over $4 million. The “Crime Fighter” will be parked in the front circular drive of the Marriott Marquis & Marina on Thursday, July 18, from 9-11 a.m. for those Batman fans and media who’d like to see the truck or get their photo taken with a piece of Batman-inspired nostalgia.
So head over to the Marriott Marquis & Marina tomorrow July 18 from 9-11AM to check out this new custom truck.
