Brazillian cartoonist Mauricio de Sousa is teaming with publisher Panini and DC Entertainment for a crossover event between the de Sousa’s character Monica and the heroes and villains of DC according to a press release by Panini. The crossover will take place in the December issues of the magazines Mônica, Cebolinha, Cascão, Magali, Chico Bento and Turma da Mônica along with additional stories being told in the December and January issues of the Mônica Jovem Group. Characters appearing in the stories include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Joker, Catwoman and more.
For those unfamiliar, the comic strip Monica’s Gang has been around since 1963 and the characters have been seen in animation, film, toys, and even video games.
