Comic Book Resources and Newsarama both reported on the events that took place this past weekend at Fan Expo 2011 in Toronto. There was a ton of focus on all of the new series launching in September, but there were some Batman news bits mentioned as well. Here are the summarized versions according to CBR and Newsarama.
-Even though Justice League is considered Year One for the relaunch, Batman has still been operating as a hero, just not in the public eye.
-Detective Comics will feature solo detective stories for Bruce Wayne and have a much smaller cast of characters than in Daniel's Batman run. Commissioner Gordon, Alfred and Batman will be the the main cast. Bruce will have another love interest and it won't be Catwoman.
-Tony Daniel mentioned that his stories for Detective Comics could run between two and three years and has a major storyline coming in 2012.
-Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown do exist in the relaunch, but Stephanie will exist as Spoiler.
-Eddie Berganza stated this about Stephanie, “Just because Stephanie Brown isn't Batgirl, doesn't mean she isn't around. You'll see.”
-Harley Quinn is still crazy.
