While it has been almost a month since the announcement that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel, we have not heard from the actor himself. Well, the silence has been broken. Last night, while promoting his upcoming film Runner Runner on Late Night with Jimmy Falon, Affleck himself spoke about getting the news that he was cast as well as how Warner Bros. prepared him for the possible crictism from fans. Jump to 1:45 for the beginning of the Batman talk.
One thing to note about Affleck's comments was this remark:
I really feel like I have a lot of opportunites now, which is great.
While it hard to hear exactly what he said after that at the 4:05 mark, but it is either "Some and come go." or "This will come and go." So could his mean he has other Batman films as part of his contract, or could it mean that Warner Bros. gave him some multi-picture deals to direct or produce since WB has been the company behind the actor's directorial films.
