With James Tynion IV (writer of Talon and Red Hood & the Outlaws) leaving Talon in December 2013 followed by Margerite Bennett with a one issue story in January 2014. Tim Seely will be the next writer of the comic book title and Seely is well known for his horror-themed writing on Hack/Slash and Revival. Seely will be a good creative add-on Talon. According to an interview from Newsarama, Seely will be picking up after Grant Morrison's Batman INC and introducing Lord Death Man see below:
My story takes place after Calvin has become resurrected as one of the undead Talons. He was temporarily killed by Bane, and they brought him back. And now he's dealing with being an undead character, wanting to get his humanity back. o our story is about that quest. And it picks up after the end of Batman, Inc., actually. I wanted to pick up on some threads that Grant Morrison left at the end of the story with one of the greatest characters ever created, Lord Death Man. Ra's Al Ghul's people figured out a way to create new Lazarus Pits by strapping Lord Death Man to some kind of a machine. His power is that he couldn't die, for unknown reasons. So we're going to pick up the threads on that, with Calvin looking for a cure for being undead, it will lead him to Lord Death Man.
Seely continues the interview by describing Lord Death Man as Batman's very own Deadpool villain due the character's eccentric dialogue. Seely's run on Talon is currently only a two issue story. As of right now, there is no word of a new writer yet to take the Talon helm at this moment. Hopefully, someone will come up soon. Tim Seely's run will start February 2014 up until March 2014, he will also be writing with Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, John Layman (Detective Comics), and Ray Fawkes (Pandora) on Batman: Eternal.
