This isn't my usual thing around here, but after seeing this video the other day, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to share it!
Done sometime in the late 1970s, probably 1977, Adam West dropped by the local Memphis, Tennessee television station WHBQ, apparently in town for a local car show gig, and only decked out in the cowl, for some reason not in a full Batman costume. And this was during the time slot that the station broadcasted professional wrestling, live, on Saturday morning with wrestlers from the Mid-South promotion or territory.
In this promo segment, West comes face-to-face with one and only "Evil King of Memphis," a.k.a. Memphis wrestling icon (and indeed playing the heel or bad guy in this segment), and today a long time commentator, and occasional wrestler, on WWE programing, Jerry "The King" Lawler. As you can see, Lawler is decked out as "SuperKing."
Also catch the reference to Spider-Man West makes as well.
