It was just earlier today that we saw the first details about the solo Batman film in quite some time. Now even more information has released through an exclusive at Deadline with information straight from Warner Bros.
First things first, Warner Bros. has set the release date of June 25, 2021, for the next Batman film. This lines up with earlier reports including Reeves’ comments earlier today for the 2021 release window. Although we didn’t need confirmation, the report does state that Reeves will write and direct the film.
The other big news is that Ben Affleck is officially out of the role as Batman. The initial report stated as much and Affleck, himself, retweeted the report wishing Matt Reeves well on the project.
So with Affleck out and a new Batman film coming in 2021, now is the time to start guessing what other news will be coming soon.
