(Again)
Why can’t these two just get along? Well, it seems they can’t. These two have a long antagonistic relationship and the beat goes on in Green Lantern #62. To get right to the point, Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, just got his head handed to him by an ancient enemy named Krona. Fortunately The Flash was there to pull Hal’s butt out of the fire and return him to near Earth where Batman and Superman await. It starts out like this.
Ha! Thanks Batman. Try not to sugar coat it! This is the Bruce Wayne Batman by the way. As usual he is indelicate as always when he deals with Hal. Bruce has never had any patience with Hal and is quick to point out Hals failings and his dangerous past as seen below.
At least Hal fires back with a rejoinder about his often rocky relationship with Bruce as he succinctly notes that it only took three weeks for the fur to fly between them. As the story continues Hal powers up his ring and is joined by other Lanterns across the ring spectrum. They call on Hal to join them and return to the fight, to which Batman says,
Maybe it was Batman’s attitude that soured Hal or just maybe Hal was predisposed to cowboying it up again. Either way Hal takes off with his Lantern posse leaving the big three behind much to the disgust of Batman. Not to worry though, as always in these matters, Batman gets in the last word.
