DC has released some advanced solicitations for Batman-related graphic novels and trade releases that will be available throughout the months of February and March 2016. Several of these are for collected editions of current and former ongoing titles (Midnighter Vol. 1 TP, Robin: Son of Batman Vol 1 HC, Batgirl Vol 2 TP, Batman Vol 8 HC, Bat-Mite TP, Catwoman Vol 7 TP, New Suicide Squad Vol 2 TP, Justice League Vol 7 HC, ) as well as other collected editions from either outside the main DC line or from comics that predate it (Batman: Arkham Knight – Genesis HC, Injustice Year Three Vol 1 TP, and a new Birds of Prey Vol 2 TP collecting the first 8 issues of Chuck Dixon’s run on the title).
Other noteworthy titles for TBU fans include Batman: Arkham – Scarecrow TP which collects the best Scarecrow stories from old and current DC continuities, new TP printings of Identity Crisis and The Dark Knight Returns, a TP edition of Justice League of America: The Silver Age collecting Silver Age stories from Brave and the Bold and JLA, and an Azrael Vol 1 TP collecting the four-issue miniseries Sword of Azrael and the first six issues of the character’s solo series.
Additionally, in these solicitations DC announced the second wave of their Blu-Ray/HC sets. This time, the sets include Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis each of which pairs the DVD or Blu-Ray animated movies with a hardcover version of the story on which they are based all for $34.99.
