DC Collectibles has announced a variety of variants for their DC Core statue line. These premium PVC statues are meant to appeal to mainstream fans that would not otherwise know about the current versions of the DC characters. The line was first announced back in January with the first group expected to release this month. Now there are some retailer exclusive versions that will be released based on the same statues. If successful, expect to see more of the statues get variants in the future.
The Batman statue that was first revealed featured Batman in his Rebirth style costume. Now there are three new variants that have been announced. Amazon will be getting a black and gold version of the bat-suit, GameStop will feature a classic blue and gray style bat-suit, and UK store, Sure Thing Toys, will be getting a gray and black version. The statues are meant to be a 1/8th scale and will stand about ten inches tall. All are priced at $50.
The other figure getting some variants is the Joker. The original version revealed featured Joker in his classic purple, orange and green color scheme. As far as the exclusives go, Amazon will be getting a black and purple version, GameStop will get a purple and green version, and Sure Thing Toys will get a white and green version. Each stands about nine inches tall and will also cost $50 each.
