Warner Bros. has teamed up with Intel, AT&T, and Ericsson to create an immersive superhero experience featuring Batman and Scarecrow. The experience will follow the Caped Crusader as he battles and defeats one of Gotham’s most popular (and terrifying) villains.
At Warner Bros., we look forward to continuing to explore the power of 5G to deliver high-quality location-based entertainment experiences to our fans,” said Justin Herz, EVP of digital product, Platform and strategy at Warner Bros. Entertainment. “It is by working closely with partners who are leaders in 5G that we can develop compelling immersive user experiences that will break through to a mass audience and bring our most iconic characters, such as DC’s Batman and The Scarecrow, to life.
The program will launch next week at the MWC event in Barcelona. According to AT&T VP Barbara Roden, the experience will run on a 5G network that allows viewers to become immersed in the fictional world. Roden said of the project, “5G will change how we create and engage with entertainment, making it possible to virtually transport into new worlds of imagination and possibility.”
This exciting new project will give Batman fans a chance to experience the world of Gotham in a brand new way and leaves room for Warner Bros. to expand the technology to other franchises.
