DC Comics has released the solicits for November, and to be honest, there isn’t a whole lot of surprises. The recent six-month streak of new titles and series has come to an end with the only new announcement being a one-shot tying into the Batman: White Knight universe. Despite a number of series wrapping up in October, the new series announced are outside of the Batman Universe.
Tales from the Dark Multiverse will feature with Blackest Night and Infinite Crisis this month, while the Year of the Villain one-shots seem to have come to an end in October with no new titles announced.
A couple of series will wrap up in November including the Harleen series from Stjepan Sejic, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s supposed last foray with Batman in Batman: Last Knight on Earth and Brian Michael Bendis’ Event Leviathan. Could these three titles wrapping up mean the coming months could have something new in-store? Event Leviathan and DCeased, which wrapped in October, already are leaving a pretty big hole to fill when it comes to overall DC Universe event titles. Outside of Doomsday Clock still needing the final issue solicited, Three Jokers is the only other major title expected at some point in the near future to be announced. There are no new Dollar Comics or facsimile editions as part of the main Batman Universe either. Between that and no fifth week in November, the total number of issues drops over a quarter from October from forty to twenty-nine for November.
Moving over to creator changes, Mikel Janin comes on to Batman for the next two issues as King’s final arc seems to be a showcase of the previous artists he has worked with on his time on Batman. David Messina is coming on Red Hood: Outlaw while Francis Manapul is heading over to Justice League this month. Everything else stays on the same current path for now.
Not w whole lot to discuss this time around, as we head into winter. Be sure to check out the full details for everything hitting stores in November below as well as a gallery of some of the covers coming. Let us know which books you are the most excited for this month.
