USA Today has posted news about two new digital comic series coming out in May and June. Both series will release in digital form first in the same vein as Batman: Arkham Unhinged has for past six months. Each series will release on a specific day of the week and with the releases, DC will offer a new digital issue every day of the week starting in June.
The first series is based off of the popular statue line from DC Collectibles, Ame-Comi Girls. The series will feature Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti writing. The artists linked to the series will be focusing on specific characters with Wonder Woman art by Amanda Conner and Tony Akins, Batgirl art by Sanford Greene, Duela Dent art by Ted Naifeh, Power Girl art by Mike Bowden and Supergirl art by Santi Casas. Each week a character will be spotlighted leading to an overall story involving all of the characters.
The other digital series is specifically focusing on Batman entitled Batman. The series will dive into more out of continuity stories that take place outside of the New 52 as well. The series will launch in June on Thursdays. The talent already attached to the project includes Damon Lindelof and Jeff Lemire; Jonathan Larsen and JG Jones; Tom Taylor and Nicola Scott; Ales Kot and Ryan Sook; B. Clay Moore and Ben Templesmith; Steve Niles and Trevor Hairsine; Joe Harris and Jason Masters; TJ Fixman and Christopher Mitten; Jeff Parker and Gabriel Hardman; Joshua Hale Fialkov and Phil Hester; David Tischman and Chris Sprouse. It seems that this series will be the new Batman Confidential like series with one-off stories featured.
