There have already been a number of villains that have been announced for Batman: Arkham City, Rocksteady insisted not that long ago that they would not be revealing any more characters before the launch of the game. And although it seems that they in fact are not, it isn't stopping the gaming world from revealing some of the secrets that are in store for gamers in a little less than two weeks.
Playstation's online news magazine, Qore, revealed in a lengthy video that there are more villains than are expected. We have seen screenshots of Bane in the game, but it seems that he will again play a role in the game alongside his Arkham Asylum alumni, Poison Ivy. Ivy appeared in the tie-in comic from DC Comics, but again little was referred to her as Rocksteady promoted the game.
And there there is still more. Calendar Man also makes an appearance in the episode as well as Victor Zsasz. We know that both characters will be involved in side missions that does not fall directly into the storyline as does Deadshot. The brand new character that was revealed was the Mad Hatter. At this point his role is completely unknown, but give the henchman in the rabbit masks, it appears that he could have a gang of his own in Arkham City.
So with characters appearing in the game that have not been announced, who else could show up? Could the Scarecrow make another appearance? Could some of the Easter eggs that were shown off in past trailers be hinting at other characters to appear? Who would you like to see?
Batman: Arkham City releases on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 18 in North America, October 19 in Australia and October 21 in Europe.
