The hotly anticipated releases of Batman: The Animated Series on Blu-ray is drawing near as Warner Bros’s has announced that Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition will now be released on October 30, 2018. The set will feature every episode of the series along with two movies, Mask of the Phantasm and Sub-Zero. Along with previously released special features and commentaries, a 90-minute documentary titled The Heart of Batman will also be included. On top of that, digital versions of all the episodes will be included meaning you can watch Batman anywhere and anytime. The official press release has additional details on the set:
The impressive Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition package features approximately 2,700 minutes of entertainment spread over 10 Blu-ray™ discs, plus the two bonus discs – not counting 11 specially-selected episodes with audio commentaries by cast and crew. In addition, Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition includes an exclusive ensemble of collectibles highlighted by three Funko mini-figurines (Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn) and seven beautifully-designed lenticular art cards. In addition to the updated release date and the announcement that the digital version of the series will be included, WB has also released a side-by-side comparison of the famous opening for the series which features the original opening and the remastered version.
