“The Joker Year One” begins in Batman #142 by Chip Zdarsky, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Stefano Nesi, Andrea Sorrentino, Alejandro Sánchez and Dave Stewart. In part one, the tragic “death” of the leader of the Red Hood Gang in a vat of chemicals has become the subject of myth…but what is the heartbreaking and gruesome tale of the monster who walked away from that violent birth? From the first pages of “The Joker Year One” onward, eager readers will be questioning everything they know about The Joker!
Batman #142 releases on February 6, 2024.
Part two kicks off in issue #143 as a figure from Batman’s past re-appears in the Joker’s world. This causes the Joker to change forever. Issue #143 will have art by Giuseppe Camuncoli, Stefano Nesi, Andrea Sorrentino, Alejandro Sánchez and Dave Stewart. Batman #143 will release on February 13, 2024.
The conclusion to “The Joker Year One” appears in Batman #144, releasing the following week on February 20, 2024. It sees the Red Hood Gang on the rampage with The Joker the one man capable of stopping them.
Once “The Joker Year One” concludes, Batman will jump into its next story in with “Dark Prisons,” which kicks of in Batman #145. It sees Batman look to a past figure in order to survive the onslaught from Zur En Arrh.
