Holy Power of Grayskull, Batman! Were you a fan of the classic Masters of the Universe figures but always secretly wanted them to be Batman characters? If so, this is your secret dream come true! Funko has announced a new line of figures based on concepts that Marv Wolfman created back in the 1970’s as revealed on a recent episode of DC Daily.
DC Primal features a stunningly barbaric take on the DC Universe and renders the characters in a style that will see them more buff and impressive than ever before. Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern round out the initial wave of heroes. Meanwhile, the villains are comprised of Scarecrow, King Shark, Mister Freeze and, of course, the Joker. Each figure comes with accessories, including a weapon and a shield.
But some of these characters do not blindly charge into battle. There are “vehicles” in the form of Ace the bat hound (more like a dire wolf) and a giant lizard creature known as the Joker Beast.
And that’s not all! In the proud tradition of the Castle Grayskull playset these heroes and villains will be able to battle it out over control of the Batcave. The Batcave is a lair with a stone-like exterior, housing all sorts of fun for the figures.
Don’t expect to see these in stores any time soon, though, as they are Amazon exclusives. You can pre-order each of the items from the line and they are expected to ship in November.
