The latest photo drop from the wrapped set of Justice League comes from the 2017 film outlook at USA Today. The image is a powerful team roster-type affair with plenty of fog and intrigue.
Director Zack Snyder commented how shaping the group “…was all about the filling out of this massive comic book pantheon,” and this image leaves little doubt about how massive they truly are. Despite the fact that Superman does not join the cast, the imposing figures of Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman fill out the space which appears to be a cargo door to an air vessel. While the heroes are clearly exiting a door of some kind, USA Today claims they are leaving a vehicle called the “Flying Fox.”
USA Today’s spotlight of the image includes additional quotes from Snyder, who makes reference to both League and June’s Wonder Woman for which he also received a producer credit. The most intriguingly perhaps are his words on Wonder Woman. This year, Diana finds that humanity, “…has its moments, but it can be brutal, and her coming to terms with that dichotomy is what we come to learn about her. And in Justice League, she’s fully evolved into someone who’s embraced mankind, partly through Superman’s sacrifice.”
Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2 and the titanic Justice League will be likely more enjoyed on 70mm screens November 17. Which film are you more excited for? Let us know in the comments below!
