It appears that Batman will be returning to movie screens a lot sooner than fans may have expected. Variety is reporting that the long-delayed live action/CGI LEGO film is currently running full steam ahead. The film is a mix between live action and CGI animation, or think an updated Space Jam-type film with animation and live action mixed together.
What does this have to do with Batman? Apparently, Warner Bros. is one of the production companies behind the project and is looking to have their star superheroes make an appearance. While it is unknown how much of a role the characters will have, Batman and Superman are set to be in the film.
According to the Variety article, Will Arnett is cast to voice Batman and the production is trying to court Channing Tatum for Superman.
Again, there is very little known about the project, but it is set to hit theaters in 2014. Batman could have a minor cameo in the film or a major role, but only time will tell.
