It was just over a year ago that it was announced that Mattel chose not to renew the master license for the DC Comics line of toys. While the more kid-friendly and budget options have been revealed from Spin Master, a lot of the focus has been waiting for what McFarlane Toys would be showcasing for the collector line of toys which would also be showing up in normal retail.
This new line keeps the “DC Multiverse” title as Mattel had as well, but features a wide range of additional figures as part of the first wave. There are twelve figures, plus one chase figure, along with a vehicle that makes up the first wave. That already puts the output higher than Mattel’s with generally only four to six figures per wave. The figures stand about seven inches tall and will retail for between $19.99 to $24.99. They are designed with the collector in mind featuring twenty-two points of articulation.
These figures will also be appearing in retail stores like Walmart and Target, but will also be available online as well. They are expected to start hitting shelves by the end of the month. Check out the full details below along with pre-order links at Entertainment Earth.
