Word from Rocksteady has been quiet in regards to a follow-up to last year's smash hit Batman: Arkham City. While it was certain that another game would be developed by the studio, little information was given as to what it could include.
Variety is reporting that the next Arkham game could be set during the Silver Age and be a prequel of sorts. It would also explore the first encounter between Batman and the Joker. The Justice League would also play a large role in the game.
Mark Hamill has stated that he would not return for the next game, which seemed likely since the demise of the Joker in Batman: Arkham City secured that thought. If w prequel is made, it does allow the Joker to return.
It is important to note that neither Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment or Rocksteady commented on the prequel and information about the game was given by a source that was not named.
