On the heels of the Batman film getting a director, The Hollywood Reporter has posted that Warner Bros. is looking to make a live action Nightwing film. It also seems that the director behind The LEGO Batman Movie, Chris McKay, will be helming the film. Weeks ago, McKay stated during the press junkets for LEGO Batman that he would love to direct a live action DC film.
The project also has Bill Dubuque assigned to writing the film. Dubuque has previously worked on The Accountant, The Judge and The Family Man.
A Nightwing film joins the ever growing line-up of DC films to come out, but specifically adds to the even faster growing line-up of films set in The Batman Universe. With the solo Batman film, Gotham City Sirens and Nightwing on top of the team films which include TBU characters, movie news won’t be dying down anytime soon.
