The Source has revealed the Bat-Books that will be hitting stores in October. All titles are in the DCnU and as expected will continue where issue one left off. Here are the highlights of the solicitations.
It seems that the largest push is the addition of new villains in The Batman Universe. The following titles have villains mentioned; Batman-"a mysetrious killer in a owl skull mask", Batwing-Massacre, Detective Comics-Gotham Ripper, Batman and Robin-NoBody, Batgirl-Mirror, Batwoman-"A terrifying new villain stalks the innocent children of Gotham City!", and Nightwing-"mysterious assassin". So the rogues gallery is definetly growing.
Catwoman continues to play the role of lover for Bruce Wayne, even though he has his eye on a character named Charlotte Rivers in Detective Comics.
The general theme for October seems to be moving the characters along and not waiting on the effects of the number ones. All of the titles announced clearly have development of characters on some level and November will probably continue the same approach.
Although Red Hood and the Outlaws #2 almost made the cover of the month for the sake of costume changes, that title is currently set for Detective Comics #2. Be sure to check out the entire solicitations for October over at The Source and the entire DC Universe should be revealed in a matter of days.
