Ever since Bryan Q. Miller's Batgirl ended almost a year ago, fans have asked questions relating to a heroine that surprised a lot of readers when the series launched. Where is Stephanie Brown? While for the last nine months, DC's response has been little to no response regarding the violet hero.
As it turns out, she will be appearing in a DC title very soon, as well as written by Miller. We mentioned earlier this week that Batman will be making his first appearance in Smallville. As it appeared in the piece of art Batman is not the only hero. Batman is joined by a sidekick. It was unknown exactly who the character was until now.
Bryan Q. Miller revealed in an interview with TV Guide that Stephanie Brown is Batman's sidekick in Smallville. Although she is not in any of her past roles, she will done the costume of Nightwing. Miller stated, "Bruce can be somewhat of an angry man. Stephanie's personality is so can-do and unsinkable and bright, so it's very much on purpose on Bruce's part that he has a good cop going out on patrol with him every night." Miller also stated that it will be revealed on why Steph is Nightwing and not Batgirl.
So while this may not be the answer Steph fans have been looking for since her disappearance since the New 52, it should give some comfort knowing that the character is not completely forgotten.
